Although traveling nowadays is made really easy with GPS, tablets, smartphones & co. you may find some useful information in this page to plan your visit to Venice.



Walk from Piazzale Roma car terminal

Cross the bridge to Giardino Papadopoli, cross a second bridge on the side of Hotel Sofitel, go slightly to the left and then straight on according to the map, with the waypoints of Scuola Grande San Rocco - campo San Tomà - Casa Museo Goldoni. Just after crossed the bridge next to Museo Goldoni, go through the 1st narrow street (calle Centani) on your right. A walk of about 15min.


Walk from the Railway station

You can reach us by crossing the bridge on the Canal Grande, in front of the station; then follow the map. Your waypoints are: Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista, Campo dei Frari, Campo San Tomà, Casa Museo Goldoni. When you arrive to Casa Museo Goldoni, just after the bridge next to Museo Goldoni, go through the 1st narrow street (calle Centani) on your right. It will take approx. 15 min.

From Marco Polo airport

Once you've landed, you can take a car taxi, and tell the driver to drop you off to Piazzale Roma (Venice's car terminal), and from there you can reach us on foot or by boat; if you prefer a water taxi ask to be dropped off to Palazzo Tiepolo.
With the public bus service, Venice is well connected to the airport: ACTV lines n. 4/ and 5 depart every 15min; ATVO Venezia Air Terminal line depart every 20min.
There is a private boat service, ALILAGUNA, that started a boat service from airport to Venice, the cost is around 15€ each person, and it takes about 1h to reach S. Angelo, the Vaporetto stop in front of palazzo Tiepolo; from there, take vaporetto line n. 1 to cross the Canal Grande to S. Tomà stop.

Vaporetto

You may also take the public boat to San Tomà, line 1 or 2, whose stops are near the car terminal and the rail station.
Line 1 is slower, but with more runs than line 2; you'll find a boat 24/24 hours, every 12 minutes in the daytime and 30 minutes in night time. It takes about 35 minutes to san Tomà. Line 2 is quicker, but with less trips to San Tomà,and it takes about 20 minutes.
